I have these two old rugs which i bought for a pound each at auction about five years ago. They were both on our living room floor but yesterday i fancied a change and moved them up to our bedroom. To neaten them up myself and D cut all of the fringing off, and they honestly look so different. I would certainly recommend doing the same if you have any rugs looking a little passed their use by date.

That's a great idea. We have a few old rugs found at flea markets. The fringe has gaps but the rugs are still nice in my opinion.
